Yogeshwar (Yogi) Navagrah is the founder and principal at NAVAGRAH. Yogi established ‘NAVAGRAH LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE + URBAN DESIGN LTD.’ in 2013 to further his philosophy of ‘design as a community building tool'. Yogi brings to the team sixteen (16) years of experience in landscape architecture and urban design. He is a “big idea” advocate and passionate about design.
Yogi has been recipient of the Mayor's Urban Design Awards – Calgary (2005, 2017, 2019), Celebration Landscapes - City of Calgary Parks award (2010), Arts and Culture - Immigrants of Distinction Award (2014), Alberta Professional Planners Institute - Award of Planning Merit (2019) amongst others.
He has represented the Alberta Association of Landscape Architects to the City of Calgary’s Urban Design Review Panel (2016-2019) and Calgary Planning Commission (2021-2022). Yogi also regularly serves as a guest critic at the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape at the University of Calgary.
