As a graduate of the University of Calgary and China Academy of Art, Chen has 7 years of formal training in landscape architecture. Chen utilizes her technical skills and design background to design unique and innovative public spaces. Chen’s design process and thinking revolves around shaping human friendly environments at both macro and micro scales. Through creative exploration of the given environment and developing a context sensitive design response, Chen shapes qualitative user experience.
Chen is passionate about landscape architecture and believes in the power of design to improve the experiential quality of any given space. Chen has been recipient of several awards and scholarships including Browning Design Inc. Entrance Scholarship at EVDS, University of Calgary (2017), Entrance Scholarship at University of Calgary, (2016) and Excellent Academic Performance Scholarship, China Academy of Art, Shanghai (2014).
