A series of pocket parks intended to increase walkability and active and passive play within a residential community.

NAVAGRAH is currently providing landscape architecture and urban design services for this key multifamily and mixed use development in Calgary. We prepared an innovative, pedestrian centered landscape and grading strategy aimed at achieving seamless transition and extensive plantings within site. The proposed landscape design features central courtyards surrounded by lush greenery and multipurpose spaces for events or outdoor activities.

The rooftop designs reflect the ground floor with meandering dry creeks and lush greenery. The site featured significant slopes which required an inventive grading strategy to ensure accessibility and adequate soil depths for plantings along the streetscape interface.
