An art installation celebrating 100 years of Calgary Parks legacy.

Inspired by native aspen groves scattered across Alberta's landscape, 100 'aspen poles' were erected in celebration of 100 great public spaces that graced Calgary over the past century. The 100 trunks were organized in modules of 10, where each group of 10

denoted a decade. The heights of the trunks increase incrementally with each decade, representing the passage of time and growth of the City of Calgary between 1911 to 2010.
