A vibrant and engaging streetscape for one of the most visited places in Canada carved space for pedestrians, cyclists and boulevard trees within a vehicle dominated street.

NAVAGRAH provided streetscape and public realm design for the North and West entrance of the iconic Town of Banff located within Banff National Park in Alberta. NAVAGRAH carefully analyzed the overall road right-of-way and proposed an alternate road right-of-way design reducing the number of driving lanes and creatively carving space for pedestrians and

bikes, along with other vehicles to create a safe and engaging environment for all users and create a sense of arrival. NAVAGRAH also prepared an innovative streetscape design for the back of curb spaces featuring the shared environment of pedestrians and bikes, striking a careful balance of function and context responsive design.
